What did you want to be when you were a child?
Joining the Police Force was probably my first ambition. However from a young age I had a passion for the sea, and naturally I wanted to be a shipmaster. However over the years I realised that a lawyer can make a difference in people’s life much more than a shipmaster, consequently I enrolled in the law course to become a lawyer.
What animal best describes your character?
It’s the elephant. It symbolises strength, courage and wisdom.
What are your hobbies?
Namely – Philately, philography, reading (especially biographies and world politics) and current affairs. I also have seasonal hobbies, swimming in summer and rambling in winter.
Name your favourite song:
I have two favourite songs, Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin and Resist by Rush
Favourite quote?
‘Seven social sins: politics without principles, wealth without work, pleasure without conscience, knowledge without character, commerce without morality, science without humanity, and worship without sacrifice’ –
(Mahatma Gandhi)
Why have you joined GhSL and what is your role in the organisation?
Representing my fellow students is a privilege and a responsibility. Whilst helping Gh.S.L. achieving the goals set which do not fall short of ambition and hard work, my role as a Public Relations Officer primarily is to strive and keep a good contact with students, academic staff and other organisations. The ultimate beneficiaries of a hard working Gh.S.L. are the students, that’s why I offered my services to the organisation. This role helped me understand the needs and demands of students. I am sure that if students balance academic activities with non-academic activities both on campus and off-campus, student’s life can be much more fun. Gh.S.L. will work on, to provide a learning experience each student can cherish today and likewise when his University days are over.
