What did you want to be when you were a child?
If my memory serves me well, I believe my first passion was for law and order. I wanted to be a police officer. Then, after experiencing the hustle and bustle of Valletta’s court-life (not for the wrong reasons) I did want to become a lawyer (when you’re a child everything tends to look exciting). Perhaps I also wanted to become the greatest football-player of all time. In my early youth I had eventually adopted a passion for the sciences and was dead-set on becoming a masterful heart surgeon. But as much as I enjoyed biology and chemistry, the sciences were not really my thing. The first instincts were correct!
What animal best describes your character?
That’s a tough one. In a romantic sense I’d say a bird; in the clouds but ready to soar wherever the wind takes me. Realistically however, I’m more of a cat; lazy and quiet, easy-going and friendly.
What are your hobbies?
Film, music and literature, politics and current affairs, writing and blogging, MMORPG gaming.
Name your favourite song:
I really cannot say. What I can say with absolute certainty however is my favourite song at the time being (August 2009), i.e. the type of song you tend to listen to repetitively and it happens to be “Godless” by The Dandy Warhols and generally The Dandy Warhols’ album “Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia”.
Favourite quote?
“The victorious warrior wins first and then goes to war; the defeated warrior goes to war first and then seeks to win” - Sun Tzu
Why have you joined GhSL and what is your role in the organisation?
I felt that GhSL would be a good experience for me in the sense of involving myself more in student life, expanding my horizons and meeting new people. In this regard I have certainly not been let down. I also want to contribute to the general well-being of the law and Maltese academia in general.
My role in GhSL is that of Publications Officer. I am primarily tasked with overseeing the publication of law journals Id-Dritt and Quid Juris as well as ensuring that law notes and past papers are up to standard and up to date. |
